Award Process
Introduction
To help alleviate this problem, the Management of Pa Sorie Kargbo Foundation has established the annual College Scholarship to fund on a competitive basis a one-time or a one-year scholarship that would help the recipients in realizing their dreams.
The College Scholarship fund is in honor of our parents, who had no high school education and, while growing up, repeatedly stressed the need to get an education. The scholarship fund will pay tuition or fees or help students pay for textbooks and school supplies. We strongly believe the scholarship will make a big difference in the lives of the recipient students and the country.
Four College Scholarships will be awarded based on financial need and academic performance, and personal character.
The scholarship will help Secondary school seniors, undergraduates students pursuing two-year, four-year in Sciences, computer, engineering, and related areas.
Students attending or planning to attend an accredited four-year public college, university, nursing, or vocational/technical school on a full or part-time basis are welcome to apply for the sum of up to Le5,000,000 (the equivalent of $500) annually with the possibility for renewal depending on the needs..
