Management of Pa Sorie Kargbo Foundation established Annual College Scholarship.
The Management of Pa Sorie Kargbo Foundation has established the annual College Scholarship Fund to award a one-time or one-academic year scholarship on a competitive basis that would help the recipients realize their academic dreams. The scholarship fund will pay tuition or fees or help students pay for textbooks and school supplies. We strongly believe the scholarship will make a big difference in the lives of the recipient students.
Three College Scholarships will be awarded based on financial need, academic performance, and personal character.
Two of these college scholarships will be awarded to outstanding students who attended Magburaka Secondary School for Boys and have been accepted and are ready to attend College in October 2022/2023 academic year. The other two scholarships will be awarded to two female students from any part of the country.
The scholarship will help Secondary school seniors and undergraduate students pursuing careers in Engineering, Computer, Agriculture, Nursing, Medicine, and other science-related degree or Diploma to an accredited two-year, four-year public college, university, nursing, or vocational/technical school.
Students will be awarded up to Le5,000,000 annually with the possibility for renewal depending on their needs. Potential scholarship applicants or recipients must complete an application form at the Foundation website.

Having spent most of my time in Sierra Leone during the past 3-4 years, I can attest to the fact that this scholarship will go a long way in making a difference to the recipients. I having been doing part time teaching in two of the Universities in the Northern part of Sierra Leone and students approach me all the time for both financial and academic assistance, sometimes even for things like buying a rim of typing paper to help them complete printing their thesis.
